The Malta Gaming Authority has released a comprehensive thematic review assessing how online B2C licensees implement self-exclusion mechanisms and related responsible gambling controls. The supervisory exercise, conducted via mystery shopping across 20 licensees and 58 active URLs in the first half of 2025, highlights overall positive compliance but identifies targeted shortcomings that require immediate rectification.

New Zealand's Department of Internal Affairs has confirmed that the new regulatory framework for online gambling will commence in February 2026, with the government set to auction up to 15 online casino licenses to qualified operators. The three-year licenses will enable licensed providers to legally offer casino services to New Zealand players for the first time, shifting the market from one historically dominated by offshore operators.
