1. Choose a casino you can check
Find the licence number in the footer and look it up on the regulator's register. Read the country list in the terms: many offshore casinos exclude Ontario or other provinces. Our list of new casinos for Canada shows each casino's licence and founding year.
2. Register and verify
Use your real name, date of birth and address; they must match your ID and your payment method. Upload photo ID and proof of address right after you register. Our guide on why casinos ask for ID explains what they look for.
3. Make your first deposit
Interac e-Transfer is the most common choice in Canada, followed by iDebit, Instadebit, MuchBetter and cards. Check that your method is on the withdrawal list too, and whether it qualifies for the bonus. Choose an account in Canadian dollars if the casino offers it.
4. Choose your games
Try games in demo mode first where you can. Slots count fully toward bonus wagering; table and live games often do not. Read each game's rules and RTP in its help screen. See our games guides.
5. Set your limits
Set a deposit limit and a session time limit before you play, not after a loss. Our responsible gaming page explains the tools and where to find help.
What you need
A recent phone or computer with an up-to-date browser is enough. Apps are optional, and most offshore casinos offer an Android download or a web app rather than a store app.
